Just as trade wars heat up, World Trade Organization dispute resolution is facing a crisis that could further threaten the global rules-based trading system. In a keynote address at the “G2 Conference on Resolving Disputes in International Economic Law,” the outgoing chairman of the WTO’s highest court, Ricardo Ramirez-Hernandez, will give his first formal remarks about the WTO since ending his term in May. The conference panels will also discuss the current trade wars and populism, European digital taxes and US tax reforms, technology and innovation, and China’s “One Belt, One Road” initiative to supercharge trade channels with neighbors to the west.

WilmerHale's Naboth van den Broek will serve as moderator during the Roundtable on Technology: Strategies by Which Countries are Making and Taking Innovation.
