CIArb Ireland is delighted to announce this one day conference, which will focus on the role of Ethics and Quality Assurance in dispute resolution including international arbitration, other adjudicative procedures, expertise and mediation. The discussions will be led by speakers from major arbitral institutions.
The conference theme will explore the role of ethics in maintaining and enhancing standards in private dispute resolution and in Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) practices. Panelists will explore how institutions, in-house counsel, party representatives, neutrals, service providers and witnesses respond to the demands for transparency, inclusion, regulation and efficiency; how the stakeholders may move to the agreement, adoption, application and regulation and promotion of the competencies in global ethical norms; and how codes of practice and ethics may be used to achieve equality of arms, a level playing field and enhance the confidence of the stakeholders, the courts and the public in the process.
WilmerHale Counsel Dr. Sarah Ganz will speak during a session addressing the “role of the institutions.”
