Partner Lori A. Martin, a member of the Securities Litigation and Enforcement Practice and the Business Trial Group, was recently elected as a member of the American Law Institute (ALI).
ALI is the leading independent organization in the United States producing scholarly work to clarify, modernize and otherwise improve the law. The institute drafts, discusses, revises and publishes Restatements of the Law, model statutes, and principles of law that are influential in the courts and legislatures, as well as in legal scholarship and education.
The elected membership of ALI consists of judges, lawyers and law teachers from all areas of the United States and from many foreign countries, selected on the basis of professional achievement and demonstrated interest in improving the law. The total membership is 4,274, including the 54 newly elected members.
Martin joins 10 other WilmerHale attorneys who are ALI members, including Co-Managing Partners William F. Lee and William J. Perlstein; Partners Gary Born, Russell J. Bruemmer, Jamie Gorelick, A.
