Partner Christopher Casamassima was named to the Daily Journal’s prestigious Top 20 Under 40 list. Recognized for his distinguished litigation practice, Casamassima was one of 20 California lawyers under the age of 40 selected for his service to clients and impact on the legal industry.
Casamassima’s practice focuses on complex business disputes involving antitrust, breach of contract, fraud, trade secrets, cybersecurity and other commercial issues. He has achieved significant victories on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of industries, including entertainment, defense and aerospace. In 2014 alone, Casamassima first-chaired two complex trials—a multi-week securities fraud jury trial and a dispute over international distribution payments for a full-length feature film—and successfully defended movie exhibitor Regal Entertainment Group in an antitrust action. At the end of the year, Casamassima was tapped to play a significant role for client Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc. in class action litigation relating to a well-publicized cybersecurity incident.
In addition to handling significant litigation matters, Casamassima provides pre-litigation counseling to his clients on contract and antitrust issues, and has conducted antitrust compliance training programs. Casamassima has also presented seminars and authored numerous articles on a variety of antitrust and litigation topics.
The Daily Journal considered hundreds of lawyers throughout California and across every major practice, to come up with a list of the 20 top lawyers under the age of 40. The Daily Journal featured Casamassima in its January 28 issue.
