Law360 recognized Tim Cook among the nation’s top legal practitioners under the age of 40. Cook, a Boston-based partner, was named to the publication’s exclusive list of 2023 Rising Stars, which honors those “whose legal accomplishments belie their age.”
Cook’s practice focuses on high-stakes intellectual property litigation. Since joining WilmerHale in 2012, Cook has represented pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients in several novel disputes and in litigation about their most important products. In his profile, Law360 highlights some of Cook’s most interesting work and discusses how he believes the life sciences legal field will change. “As drug discovery is getting harder and more expensive, [there's] more litigation between competitors and more litigation driven by broader concerns, like pricing concerns,” Cook said in his profile.
Law360 also highlights Cook’s background in chemistry prior to attending law school, which sparked his interest in moving into this area of law. Cook said he “likes the challenge of taking a complex body of knowledge and distilling it into something that's easy to understand.”
