April Williams, a DC-based partner, has been named a Woman Worth Watching in Leadership in the 21st edition of Diversity Journal’s annual list, which honors the accomplishments of professionals with the hope of inspiring the next generation of women leaders.
Profiles in Diversity Journal is a quarterly magazine that spotlights, promotes and supports individuals in underrepresented groups for their contributions to their respective fields. Williams' practice focuses on government enforcement actions, corporate investigations, and litigating criminal and civil actions. In addition to her client work, Williams has become a respected leader in the firm. She is is the co-chair of the DC office’s Diversity Committee, co-leader of the Racial Justice Reform Initiative, a member of the firm’s Associates and Senior Associates Committees, and an active member of the summer associate program. Williams was previously recognized by Diversity Journal in 2021 as a Black Leader Worth Watching.
“We all have diverse backgrounds and varying viewpoints and approaches to tackling an issue, and I have found that making my teams feel comfortable speaking up and genuinely listening to them sometimes reveals a solution to an issue that I might not have considered,” Williams said in her profile.
