Anjan Sahni Named a 2022 Rainmaker by Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA)

Recognition

Anjan Sahni, Partner-in-Charge of WilmerHale’s New York office, was named a 2022 Rainmaker by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA).

MCCA’s list of annual rainmakers showcases talented diverse attorneys who also have valuable client development skills, according to the organization. Additionally, MCCA honors attorneys from across the nation who have achieved success through innovative, consistent, and proactive business development. Their success stories offer insight and value to attorneys at every career stage.

Sahni is one of the most sought-after white-collar litigators in the country, known for his ability to connect with juries on the most technically complex issues and win for clients even when the odds seem exceptionally long. His impact as a trailblazer is also manifested in his management responsibilities at the firm. Sahni, who is Sikh and immigrated to the US when he was eight years-old, is one of the first South Asian managing partners of a New York office of a major law firm, and he also serves on the firm’s management committee.

Prior to joining WilmerHale in 2015, Anjan spent 10 years in the Southern District of New York’s US Attorney's Office, where he played a leadership role in the Office’s Terrorism and International Narcotics Unit and later the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force in the Office's Criminal Division, having served as deputy chief, co-chief, and chief of that unit. Today, Anjan advises institutions and individuals in high-stakes government investigations and litigation across a range of agencies and subject areas. Much of his most impressive work is done behind the scenes in highly confidential complex matters for his clients

MCCA will profile and recognize the 2022 Rainmaker honorees on its website and social media throughout the year. The 2022 Rainmakers will be honored for their accomplishments at MCCA’s 2022 Creating Pathways to Diversity Conference on October 17-19 and at the 2022 Diversity Gala on October 19.
