The American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law named Bill Lee the 2022 Mark T. Banner Award Honoree. Named after the section’s late chair, this honor is bestowed upon those who have made an indelible impact in the field of Intellectual Property Law.
Lee has more than 40 years of experience as a leading trial and appellate lawyer. In addition to working on some of the highest profile cases of the last decade—including representing Apple Inc. in the “smart phone war” and Harvard the case challenging its admissions policies—Lee is an active and well-renowned member of the legal community. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and has served on several advisory committees at both the state and federal level. Lee has also dedicated himself to mentoring the next generation of intellectual property and trial lawyers both at WilmerHale and beyond.
Lee was recognized at the Mark T. Banner Award Presentation in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, April 7 during the ABA-IPL Annual Section Meeting.
