New England Legal Foundation President Dan Winslow today announced the appointment of WilmerHale Partner Felicia Ellsworth to the Foundation’s Massachusetts Advisory Council.
“We depend on our state Advisory Councils to guide us to the cutting edge of business and law,” said Winslow, “and we are beyond thrilled to have such impressive caliber and accomplishment join our Massachusetts Advisory Council.”
Ellsworth holds several leadership positions are WilmerHale. She is a member of the firm’s Management Committee, vice chair of its Litigation/Controversy Department, and co-chair of its Pro Bono and Community Service Committee. She served as a law clerk to US Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts and Judge Michael Boudin of the First Circuit. She also serves on the amicus advisory committees for the Boston Bar Association and Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. Among other endeavors, she was appointed in 2019 by the Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court to the Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services.
“I am honored to advance NELF’s important work and I have seen first-hand the impact a NELF amicus brief can have on an appellate court’s broader understanding of decisions affecting free enterprise and property rights,” said Ellsworth.
