The Boston Globe, in a joint project with The Commonwealth Institute (TCI), has named WilmerHale as a Top Women-Led Business in Massachusetts, making it the eighth consecutive year the firm has been recognized. In this year’s list, WilmerHale ranked among the top 10 of Massachusetts businesses and is the only law firm to have made the list.
WilmerHale is led by Partner Susan Murley, who has successfully co-managed the firm for the last nine years. In addition to the rankings, The Boston Globe Magazine featured a profile on Ms. Murley, which discussed leading a business in 2020 and some of the important lessons that came from it.
In the past year, WilmerHale was recognized as a top firm for Working Mothers & Family Planning by Yale Law Women, one of the “Best Law Firms for Women” by Working Mother for the 13th consecutive year, and a top firm in the newly-expanded 2019 Inclusion Blueprint survey. The firm has also earned a 100 percent rating in the Corporate Equality Index for the 12th consecutive year and achieved Mansfield Certification Plus status for 2020.
The Boston Globe and TCI used a holistic approach when ranking all participating businesses, including revenue, number of full-time Massachusetts employees, workplace and management diversity, and innovative projects.
