Hallie B. Levin, a New York-based partner, has been named a 2020 Winning Litigator by The National Law Journal (NLJ).
The NLJ profile highlights Ms. Levin’s role as co-lead counsel in a victorious landmark antitrust trial in which attorneys general from 13 states and the District of Columbia failed in their effort to enjoin the merger of T-Mobile and Sprint. “As a trial lawyer, I was always convinced that, despite the predictive nature of antitrust law and its emphasis on economic analysis, the real-world facts about how the merged company would benefit consumers would matter to the outcome,” said Ms. Levin. Focused on presenting those facts, she was able to successfully bring the spirit of T-Mobile in the courtroom through her witness examinations of then-T-Mobile CEO John Legere and then-T-Mobile president Mike Sievert.
The profile also features trial tips that have been key to Ms. Levin’s success, which includes building an authentic rapport with witnesses and a relationship of trust with jurors.
Earlier this year, Ms. Levin was chosen as a Litigation Daily “Litigator of the Week” for the T-Mobile/Sprint merger trial win and featured in a Law360 story explaining the winning approach her team took in the landmark trial.
