On 25 and 26 November 2024, WilmerHale’s London office hosted the first edition of "Arbitration in 2 Worlds" in the UK, an initiative by Arbitration Channel and Lex Anglo-Brasil, supported by Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), Kings College London (KCL), University College of London (UCL), Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC/SP). Special Counsel Dr. Sarah Ganz delivered the closing remarks. Senior Associate Maria Camila Hoyos organized and participated in the event as a speaker.
The conference focused on the interaction between arbitration in Brazil and the UK, divided into five programs discussing
- Corruption in Arbitration,
- Energy and Arbitration,
- Insolvency and Arbitration,
- Arbitration involving States and State Entities, and
- Third-Party Funding and Arbitration,
