The panel will comprise Duncan Speller (WilmerHale), Dr. Salaheddin Al-Bashir (International Business Legal Associates) and Jonathan Lim (WilmerHale). Mr. Speller will discuss recurrent issues in commercial disputes involving States and State-controlled entities, including issues of state immunity. Mr. Lim will consider the latest developments in investment treaty arbitration relevant to Jordanian parties, including arbitrations under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Investment Agreement. Dr. Al-Bashir will analyze the network of existing Jordanian BITs and the impact of the newly established Grievance Redress Mechanism on the current Jordanian investment environment.
