Attorney News

WilmerHale Partner Ben Powell served as a featured speaker at the Washington Post Live’s Cybersecurity Summit in Washington DC on October 3, 2013. He took part as a panelist in the, “War Game: Cyber Attack Scenario,” where he served in the role of Director of National Intelligence in a fictional war game. The hypothetical scenario demonstrated plausible elements of a real-life cyber attack and the potential impact they would have on the United States. This is the second consecutive year Powell has participated in the Cybersecurity Summit.

The Washington Post Live’s Cybersecurity Summit convenes leading national security officials, industry experts and journalists to address cyber risks and the future of cyber defense. Panel discussions held at the event focused on situational efforts to defend the nation’s critical infrastructure, financial system, and intellectual property from cyber theft and cyber espionage.
