Debo Adegbile Honored with Legal Aid DC’s Servant of Justice Award

Recognition

Partner Debo Adegbile has been recognized with the Servant of Justice Award by Legal Aid DC. According to the organization, this award honors the exemplary commitment to the pursuit of justice from legal luminaries who have dedicated their careers to the protection of underserved communities and the defense of moral and ethical standards under the law.

Legal Aid is DC’s oldest and largest civil legal services organization. Since 1932, Legal Aid lawyers have helped make justice real in individual and systemic ways in the District.

Debo, who chairs the firm’s Anti-Discrimination practice, has demonstrated faithful dedication and remarkable achievement in ensuring that all people have equal and meaningful access to justice. Most recently, Debo led a WilmerHale team that secured a win in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity v. Raffensperger, where a federal court ruled that Georgia’s state legislative district maps discriminate against Black voters and must be redrawn.

Debo and co-honoree, Judge David Tatel of Hogan Lovells, will be recognized at the Servant of Justice Awards Dinner, in Washington DC on April 9.
