WilmerHale Partners Sonal Mehta and Thomas Sprankling have received noteworthy recognitions as part of The Recorder’s annual California Legal Awards, which honor attorneys across the state in various categories.
Mehta, based in Palo Alto, has been named to the publication’s list of Women Leaders in Tech Law for the fourth time. The annual award celebrates top women attorneys whose recent achievements have contributed to progress at technology companies and in the law and that help forge pathways for all women attorneys in the tech industry, according to the publication.
Mehta is a dynamic trial lawyer, an advocate and strategic counselor that represents several of the world’s leading technology and life sciences companies in high stakes matters. With over 20 years of experience, Sonal has developed a comprehensive practice that encompasses all aspects of litigation at the trial and appellate levels.
Sprankling, also based in Palo Alto, has been named to The Recorder’s list of Lawyers on the Fast Track (under 40) for his work counseling clients regarding novel legal issues and appeals regarding intellectual property and technology companies. The recognition honors Sprankling as a part of the “next generation of legal leaders in California.”
Sprankling maintains a high-profile pro bono practice, working most notably with a significant appellate victory for domestic violence survivors.
