Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly has recognized Laura Schneider as a 2022 “Top Woman of Law.” This annual recognition honors women attorneys who have made tremendous professional strides and demonstrated great accomplishments in the legal field, including pro bono, advocacy, social justice and business.
Schneider is a Boston-based partner who counsels clients on all aspects of labor and employment law. She works on compliance matters, personnel policies, employee relations, internal investigations and performance management, and assists clients with everything from negotiating employment and severance agreements to dealing with issues associated with mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions.
“I work on things that, if they don’t turn out right, could get my clients into the spotlight or into the news,” Schneider says in her profile. “The thing that I find most gratifying is helping my clients not be in the spotlight and not be in the news. I like working behind the scenes.”
The “Top Women in Law” event celebrates the achievements and victories of exceptional women attorneys who are pioneers, educators, trailblazers and role models in their field. Schneider and the other honorees, including Partner Emily Whelan, who chairs the firm's Intellectual Property Practice group, were recognized at an awards ceremony on November 16.
