Law360 named Andrew Shipley, a Washington-based partner, to its annual list of MVPs. According to the publication, the selective list recognizes attorneys who have “distinguished themselves from their peers by securing hard-earned successes in high-stakes litigation, complex global matters and record-breaking deals.”
Shipley is an experienced practitioner who regularly advises clients on an array of issues that arise in the pursuit or performance of government contracts. Law360 attributes his MVP status to, among other matters, his representation of defense contractor L3Harris Technologies, which retained its classified contract following Shipley’s successful defense against a protest before the US Government Accountability Office brought by Peraton Inc.
In his profile, Shipley refers to the case as both his biggest accomplishment and challenge of the year due to its highly classified nature which required him to review documents in a secure compartmentalized information facility.
