WilmerHale’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion department was named a recipient of the third annual Diversity Team Award in the quarterly edition of Profiles in Diversity Journal. The department, led by Co-Directors Tracey West and Monya Bunch, is among 15 others to be honored for its dedication to fostering an inclusive workplace.
The Diversity Team Award is given in recognition of corporations and law firms that have implemented concrete measures to promote equitable hiring practices, launch inclusion-based initiatives and confront biases in the workplace. The dedication of WilmerHale’s full-time Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team has enabled the firm to be a leader in efforts to diversify the legal sector.
The firm’s resolution to cultivate an inclusive workplace is highlighted by the breadth of programs and initiatives it has implemented over the years. These programs include a diversity summit, a Racial Justice Reform Initiative and several mentoring and networking opportunities. But, WilmerHale’s commitment to diversity and inclusion extends far beyond the firm’s walls. WilmerHale makes a concerted effort to partner with clients and alumni on a range of diversity-related programs, including fellowships and diversity pipeline initiatives.
