Law360 named WilmerHale a Massachusetts Powerhouse for 2019. The annual Regional Powerhouse series recognized four firms that “have been at the forefront of a rapidly changing legal landscape.”
The publication recognized the firm for being a staple in the Boston legal landscape, recently defending Harvard University’s affirmative action practices in a significant case alleging that the school discriminates against Asian Americans in admissions. In the past year, the firm has also worked with 20 New England companies on public offerings and emphasized pro bono work, playing a role in major immigration cases.
Daniel Halston, the partner-in-charge at WilmerHale’s Boston office, told Law360 that the success of the firm “all turns on the people.”
“That’s the thing that makes me particularly happy,” Mr. Halston said. “As a law firm you’re as good as your people, and I think we do a good job managing the job satisfaction side.”
