PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and WilmerHale are hosting an event on IPO readiness and execution on October 18th in PwC's New York office. An initial public offering is a transformational event for an organization. Preparing to "go public" is just as important as the execution of the transaction. Careful consideration must be given throughout the life cycle of the IPO process, from IPO preparation to the offering process and beyond.
To help you gain a holistic view of the IPO process, PwC and WilmerHale are hosting a discussion that will focus on the regulatory, legal, financial and strategic issues facing companies contemplating an IPO, current and anticipated IPO market conditions as well as the issues surrounding life as a public company. As part of this discussion, you will have the opportunity to engage with IPO professionals and hear about the experiences of organizations that have recently made the transformation to public life.
Opening remarks on the state of the IPO market will be given by PricewaterhouseCoopers Partner David Silverman, and the panel will be moderated by WilmerHale Partner David Westenberg, author of Initial Public Offerings: A Practical Guide to Going Public. Panelists include PricewaterhouseCoopers Partner Howard Friedman; WilmerHale Partner Stuart Nayman; and Morgan Stanley Managing Director John Tyree, a New York venture capitalist and representative from a newly public company.
