WilmerHale Successfully Represents Linde In BOC Acquisition

WilmerHale successfully represented its client Linde AG of Wiesbaden, Germany before the European Commission in the acquisition of The BOC Group PLC of Windlesham, UK. Through its acquisition of BOC, Linde will become one of the world's leading producers of industrial gases.

The European Commission cleared the transaction on 6 June 2006 after a Phase I investigation on the basis of commitments offered by Linde.

Linde and BOC are both international suppliers of gases for a variety of applications in industries including chemical, electronic, food and healthcare. Linde’s acquisition of BOC represents the largest takeover in Linde's history and is one of the largest foreign transactions ever undertaken by a German company.
