WilmerHale Named to The American Lawyer’s “A-List,” Honored as One of Nation’s Strongest Firms
- 6.28.2013
For the tenth year, WilmerHale has placed on The American Lawyer's "A-List" as one of the nation's leading law firms. Advancing back into the top 10, ranked as sixth, the firm prides itself on its elite practices, attorneys and clients.
Factors for placement include revenue per lawyer, pro bono work, associate satisfaction and diversity. Since 2003 when the A-List was first published, the firm has earned the fifth highest score in the past 10 years, indicating consistency and great strength across The American Lawyer's four key areas of success. As stated by The American Lawyer, "Financial strength is important, but we also want to applaud firms that are committed to serving the less fortunate, and to creating a diverse and healthy work environment."
WilmerHale received its highest score in the pro bono category. The firm is, and always has been, a national leader in its pro bono services and charitable activities. Lawyers are encouraged to meet special obligations to the administration of justice and the development of the law through pro bono work, service to the bar, government service and teaching. WilmerHale also urges lawyers to write and speak on legal issues and to participate in the affairs of their larger communities.
In response to this year's ranking, WilmerHale's Co-Managing Partners, Bob Novick and Susan Murley said: "It is our goal to remain economically and professionally stable and progressive. We do so by retaining the best talent and culture while continuously serving and growing our diverse client base. We are honored to be recognized as a leader in the legal industry."
