Lester Ross Re-Elected to AmCham-China Board of Governors

WilmerHale Partner Lester Ross has been re-elected to the Board of Governors of The American Chamber of Commerce in the People's Republic of China (AmCham-China). The formal announcement of Ross’ re-election came on November 9, at the Chamber’s 2011 Annual General Meeting.
AmCham-China is a non-profit organization that represents US companies and individuals doing business in China, with a mission to help them succeed through advocacy, information, networking and business support services. The Chamber has more than 2,600 members from over 1,200 companies.
As a member of the Board of Governors, Ross explains, “I meet regularly with senior officials of both Chinese and American governments to advocate for wider market access and improved operating conditions for member companies. I work to improve Chamber documents and services to make AmCham-China more effective and more responsive to members.”
Prior to being elected, Ross served AmCham-China as General Counsel, Chair of the Insurance Forum and Chair of the Legal Committee. He concurrently serves as Co-Chair of the Insurance Forum.
