Five WilmerHale Attorneys Assume Senior Roles Within the ABA’s Antitrust Division

The American Bar Association (ABA) recently announced the names of their 2008-2009 Section of Antitrust Law Leadership. WilmerHale partners Jim Lowe, Leon Greenfield, Douglas Melamed, William Kolasky and counsel Hartmut Schneider, will all take on senior roles in this section.

Mr. Lowe, newly named Chair of the Mergers and Acquisitions Committee, has long held leadership positions in the ABA Section of Antitrust Law, previously serving as a Vice Chair of this committee from 2005-2008.

Mr. Greenfield was named an Editorial Board Member of the ABA’s Antitrust Law Developments 2008 Update. He previously served on the Editorial Board of the ABA’s 2007 Annual Review of Antitrust Law Developments.

Mr. Melamed will serve as a Contributing Editor of the Antitrust Law Journal and Mr. Kolasky will be the Associate Editor of Antitrust Magazine. Active in this section for many years, Mr. Kolasky served on the Section Council from 1998 to 2001. Mr. Schneider was chosen as the Chair-Elect’s Assistant, marking his first year of participation in this Section of the ABA.

The Section of Antitrust Law is dedicated to the pursuit of enhancing its role as the pre-eminent source for analysis, debate and continuing legal education in the antitrust, competition law, competition policy and consumer protection fields. This section helps to develop and sustain the competence of lawyers in the major substantive aspects of federal and state antitrust, completion and trade regulation.
