Firm Ranked as the Top Corporate Law Firm in Boston for the Third Consecutive Year

For the third consecutive year, company directors named Hale and Dorr LLP as the number one corporate law firm in Boston. The firm led the eastern half of the US in the representation of issuers in public company IPOs, venture capital financings, Rule 144A placements and PIPE financings in 2003. Representative clients include Analog Devices, Millennium Pharmaceuticals and Staples.
Wilmer Cutler Pickering LLP was also ranked in the top five for its corporate practice in the Washington, DC metropolitan area for the third year in a row. Hale and Dorr LLP and Wilmer Cutler Pickering LLP merged in May 2004.
The magazine’s July/August issue, “America’s Best Corporate Lawyers,” ranks the top five local firms in 50 major US markets. Surveyed directors were asked to name the local firms they would most likely turn to for a broad range of corporate legal issues. Directors taking part in the survey serve on boards of publicly traded companies listed with the NASDAQ, New York or American Stock Exchanges.
