WilmerHale Strengthens Transactional Department and Corporate Practice with the Addition of Leading Tax Practitioner, David Strong

WilmerHale is proud to announce that leading tax lawyer David Strong has joined the firm as a partner in its Transactional Department, bringing his extensive experience in advising public and private clients on a wide range of corporate tax issues. Resident in the Denver office, and positioned to work with transaction teams across the firm, Strong’s arrival reinforces the continued growth of the firm’s Corporate Practice.

Strong’s practice focuses on domestic and cross-border M&A, partnerships and joint ventures, spin-offs and restructurings, private equity and venture capital investments, and a wide range of debt and equity financing transactions. He routinely works with many types of business enterprises, ranging from very small start-ups to more mature mid-size and large private companies (including unicorns and decacorns), as well as a variety of Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 public companies.

Strong’s extensive experience also spans a variety of industries and sectors, including life sciences and healthcare, technology and e-commerce, internet and telecommunications, consumer, manufacturing, financial services, media and entertainment, mining and natural resources and real estate.

Strong received a BS and BA in Economics and Finance from the University of Denver in 1992, his JD from Stanford Law School in 1995, and his LLM in Taxation from New York University in 1997.

Prior to joining the firm, Strong was most recently a partner at another international law firm where he focused on complex transactional tax matters.  Earlier in his career, Strong also previously worked on Wall Street as an investment banking professional in the mergers and acquisitions group of a global financial institution.
