The National Law Journal recently announced the winners and finalists in its annual Legal Awards contest, which honors the litigation achievements of firms and individuals in Washington, DC. The publication named WilmerHale to its 2022 Appellate Hot list, recognized Partner Karin Dryhurst as a DC Rising Star and placed the firm among its finalists in the Crisis Management and Government Oversight category.

The firm’s appearance on the Appellate Hot List marked the 14th time it has made the exclusive list for its excellence in appellate and Supreme Court advocacy.

Dryhurst, who was named to the select group of “rising star” lawyers under 40, focuses her practice on government-facing and qui tam litigation and investigations. She routinely represents organizations facing attention from multiple federal and state regulators. Since joining WilmerHale in 2015, she has defended leading financial institutions and other clients in litigation, investigations, examinations and inquiries by the CFPB, SEC, US Department of Justice, various US Attorneys’ Offices, OCC, Federal Reserve and FHFA.

WilmerHale’s selection as a finalist for the Crisis Management and Government Oversight Award was a recognition of its industry leading practices in those areas. The firm has a lengthy track record of successfully navigating clients through challenges ranging from disaster response to congressional investigations.

WilmerHale and Dryhurst will be honored during The National Law Journal’s Legal Awards event at The Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, DC on October 20.
