For the Seventh Consecutive Year, The Boston Globe Names WilmerHale a Top Workplace
- 11.23.2020
WilmerHale’s Boston office has been named a top place to work in the Boston area by The Boston Globe. “In a year when the pandemic upended, well, everything, these organizations put their employees first,” shared The Boston Globe in the November 22 Globe Magazine edition.
This marks the seventh consecutive year WilmerHale’s Boston office has been recognized by The Boston Globe. The recognition is based solely on anonymous employee feedback from a survey administered by Energage LLC, a research firm that specialized in organizational health and workplace improvement. Various aspects including local and overall company leadership, diversity and inclusion, company values, work flexibility and career development were among the few factors that the employee engagement survey measured.
Established in 1918, WilmerHale’s Boston office is a hub for the firm's litigation, corporate and intellectual property practices. The belief WilmerHale employees have in the mantra “great work, hard work, teamwork and everybody counts” has helped create an environment that supports the way the team lives and works.
The Top Workplace recognition is one of several workplace recognitions that the firm has earned in the past year. They include:
- November, The Boston Globe in partnership with The Commonwealth Institute named the firm as a Top Women-Led Business in Massachusetts for the eighth consecutive year.
- November, The Diversity & Flexibility Alliance recognized WilmerHale as “Tipping the Scales” for having 50% or more women in its 2020 US-based new partner class
- September, a Best Law Firms for Women for the 13th consecutive year by Working Mother magazine
- September, achieved Mansfield Certification Plus status for the third consecutive year, one of only 67 law firms in the nation to do so
- May, a Top Firm for Working Mothers & Family Planning by Yale Law Women
- January, received a 100 percent rating in the 2020 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for the 12th consecutive year by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation
