Ron Machen Named Minority Corporate Counsel Association Rainmaker
- 5.28.2020
The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) has recognized Ron Machen as a 2020 Rainmaker. This recognition honors eleven prominent attorneys from across the country who have a proven track record of achieving success through innovative and proactive business development and have contributed significantly to their communities.

Mr. Machen, who serves as co-chair of WilmerHale’s White Collar Defense & Investigations Practice, was recognized for his work at the firm, which focuses on government enforcement actions, corporate and congressional investigations, and litigating complex civil business disputes. MCCA also recognized Mr. Machen’s contributions as US Attorney for the District of Columbia, where he led the nation’s largest US Attorney's Office and served as a reform-minded prosecutor who created the first federal Conviction Integrity Unit, which focused on identifying and investigating wrongful convictions, within a US Attorney’s Office. He also focused intensely on community outreach, youth education programs, and crime prevention activities in order to reduce crime and build relationships of trust between law enforcement and the community. At WilmerHale, Mr. Machen prioritizes the mentoring of younger lawyers and serves as a member of the firm’s Executive Diversity and Inclusion Committee as well as the firm’s Global Management Committee.
The MCCA will recognize Mr. Machen during the organization’s annual Diversity Gala in October.
