Excerpt: Despite continuing efforts at both national and international levels, corruption remains a serious problem in international business. According to Transparency International’s latest Corruption Perceptions Index, on a scale from zero (highly corrupt) to one hundred (very clean), over two-thirds of the 180 assessed countries scored below 50.1 This means that over six billion people live in countries that are corrupt.
