This is the first in a two-part podcast conducted by the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL)'s "The Criminal Docket" series. This episode covers the two dog sniff cases out of Florida that were argued before the US Supreme Court on October 31, 2013. In this podcast, WilmerHale Partner Danielle Spinelli discusses Florida v. Jardines, a case in which the Florida Supreme Court held that a narcotics detection dog sniff of a house is a search under the Fourth Amendment for which probable cause is required.
