This full day Continuing Education Course, sponsored by the Cambridge Health Department, Massachusetts Toxics Use Reduction Institute, Cambridge Health Alliance, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the NSF Center for High Rate Nanomanufacturing, covered a diverse range of topics essential for professionals in nanotechnology and biotechnology. Attendees were able to learn about a variety of topics, including the current understanding of nanomaterial risks, EHS state-of-the-practice in companies involved with nanomaterials, current and anticipated regulatory developments in the field, a primer on the toxicology of nanomaterials and an assessment of appropriate occupational safety and health practices associated with these technologies.

WilmerHale Counsel James Votaw was a featured speaker at this event. He spoke on the topic of "Regulation of Nanomaterials: Developments and Trends at US EPA.”
