WilmerHale Partner Brent J. Gurney participated in the panel discussion "General Counsel and Risk Management Professionals Roundtable," as part of the Global Compliance & Risk Management Conference sponsored by GOAL. This panel of risk management professionals, in-house lawyers and outside counsel shared first-hand experiences on implementing risk management programs and how to weather a corporate crisis. On the panel, Mr. Gurney explained how there are two components to a corporate crisis, the conduct that leads to the crisis and the corporation's response, as well as how the need for speed and connecting the dots throughout an organization's activities have become singularly important in the modern age.
