In the run-up to the European Parliament Elections to take place late May 2014, Naboth van den Broek chaired a European Election Debate in Washington DC, featuring speakers from three of the main European political parties. The debate covered topics ranging from international trade and investment, to energy, the future role of the European Parliament, the position of the President of the European Commission and the Council, and other ongoing and upcoming developments in European politics.
