The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) has become one of the focal points of the Securities Exchange Commission's and the Department of Justice's enforcement program. Enforcement actions, civil and criminal, are continuing at pace and the cost of resolving FCPA actions is getting more onerous. At the same time, the UK Bribery Act and other foreign anti-corruption laws are gaining in prominence. US and other multinational companies increasingly face bribery risks in their varied international business activities. Such risks can, however, be detected and managed. The experienced faculty of private practitioners, regulators, and prosecutors will provide an in-depth analysis of the FCPA's current trends and implications. The faculty will discuss timely important information on the latest enforcement trends, international developments, compliance best practices, and risk assessment and mitigation.

WilmerHale Partner Jay Holtmeier spoke on the panel “Representing Individuals in FCPA Civil and Criminal Investigation and Litigation.”
