How Privacy Law Can Help (or Hurt) Health Care

WilmerHale Partner Kirk Nahra will join Chief Privacy Officer of Tempus Labs, Robyn Eckerling, at the 2022 Privacy + Security Forum Fall Academy to lead a session that will review the rapidly evolving world of health care privacy. It will focus on key ongoing developments within HIPAA, where health care policy issues and running head on into HIPAA limitation. The session also will review the complicated privacy word beyond HIPAA, to evaluate and analyze how multiple overlapping and often inconsistent laws are creating challenges across the healthcare industry. It also will review the impact of COVID on health care privacy, and the resulting exploration of some of the key public health gaps.
