Sonia Sujanani
Counsel
Sonia Sujanani is a counsel who focuses her practice on securities, class action, and consumer fraud and RICO litigation matters. Ms. Sujanani routinely represents public companies, financial institutions, and their officers and directors in complex individual, class action and derivative cases in federal and state court. Ms. Sujanani has experience handling all phases of civil litigation, from coordinating and litigating electronic discovery issues, first-chairing depositions, coordinating and litigating expert discovery issues, to trial. Ms. Sujanani has also authored dispositive motions to dismiss and for summary judgment in state and federal court.
In addition, she has extensive cross-experience managing and balancing high stakes litigation matters alongside multiple government investigations, often involving both civil and criminal liability, spanning agencies such as the SEC, DOJ, DOL, DHS and State OIG. Ms. Sujanani martials her diverse experience and background to represent global clients in matters across the country. Recently, in 2023, she was named a “Top Lawyer” in the area of Securities by Boston Magazine. Ms. Sujanani maintains an active pro bono practice focusing on civil rights, domestic violence and immigration issues. Ms. Sujanani has successfully represented clients at immigration asylum hearings.
From 2014 to 2015, Ms. Sujanani was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Justice Fernande R. V. Duffly of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. Ms. Sujanani received her law degree from Cornell Law School, where she was awarded the John J. Kelly Memorial Prize for exemplifying the qualities of scholarship, fair play and good humor.
Prior to pursuing her law degree, Ms. Sujanani was a teaching fellow and guest lecturer at Northeastern University and worked in marketing analytics at Vistaprint, financial analysis for the United States Air Force in the Department of Defense, and legal services at Wellington Management Company.

Professional Activities
Ms. Sujanani is a member of the Boston Bar Association’s Senior Associates Executive Steering Committee. She was named a 30 under 30 White House Young Ambassador in 2014, and hosted youth leadership dialogues on education, mental health, pathways to public service and immigration. She attended and spoke at various conferences, including the National Asian American Student Union Conference hosted by Harvard University, the India New England Health & Wellness Conference and the Massachusetts Asian-American Unity Dinner.
In connection with her advocacy, in 2015, India New England honored Ms. Sujanani as one of the top 20 outstanding South Asian women in New England.
While attending Cornell Law School, Ms. Sujanani was a student attorney in the school's Death Penalty Clinic, where she assisted in drafting a Federal Habeas Corpus appellate brief, and the Immigration Appellate Advocacy Clinic, where she successfully appealed a client's deportation to the Board of Immigration Appeals.
