Richard J. Innis

Retired Partner

For over thirty years, Dick Innis's practice concentrated on civil litigation. He tried many cases in federal and state courts and before various administrative agencies and arbitration panels. He also has served as a court-appointed master. A former chair of the firm's Executive Committee, Mr. Innis retired from active practice in 2005.

Practice

Mr. Innis's experience in corporate and personal litigation include product liability, antitrust, securities, trade secrets, unfair competition, commercial, construction, professional malpractice, eminent domain, zoning, probate, domestic and criminal matters. He successfully defended actions against pharmaceutical companies arising out of the use of their products (e.g., fen/phen, PPA, Drano, etc.) and against public utilities accused of exposing plaintiffs to impermissible levels of radiation in the workplace.


Professional Activities

Mr. Innis is a fellow of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation. He also serves as vice chair of the Board of Trustees and chair of the Governance Committee of Schools for Children, Inc., a nonprofit educational corporation that operates a variety of educational programs and schools for disadvantaged and troubled youth.
