Jonathan Pressman represents investment banks, asset management firms, and current and former senior executives, traders and employees in investigations by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), US Attorney's Offices and the US Department of Justice, FINRA, Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), stock exchanges and other securities self-regulatory organizations, and state securities enforcement authorities. Mr. Pressman also represents public companies, board committees and individuals in internal investigations concerning financial accounting, executive compensation and internal controls. 

Mr. Pressman has extensive experience advising and defending trading and post-trade firms including exchanges, alternative trading systems, and clearing firms regarding compliance with securities laws and regulations.

Recent representative matters have involved trading and sales practices, SRO rulemaking and rule compliance, direct market access controls, creation and marketing of complex financial products, municipal finance (MSRB compliance), research rules, broker-dealer supervision, information barriers, soft dollars, securities valuation, corporate accounting and disclosure, share class selection, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Recent public company experience includes representations of board committees in independent investigations into revenue recognition issues, including acting as the primary interface on behalf of board committees with the Department of Justice, the SEC, and the company's public accountants.  

Mr. Pressman is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Pressman is a member of the Federal Bar Council and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
