Dr. Katalin Lehnhardt-Busche is a senior associate in the Regulatory and Government Affairs Department.

Dr. Lehnhardt-Busche advises private and public clients in the area of European and German competition law, in particular in complex cross-border merger control proceedings, cartel investigations and governmental investigations before the German Federal Cartel Office, the European Commission and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs as well as in other complex regulatory matters, in particular in the agrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, life science, defense and digital industries. Another focus of her practice is litigation and dispute resolution at the interface between competition law, regulatory and civil law matters as well as advising and representing clients in distribution and commercial law.

Dr. Lehnhardt-Busche has been with WilmerHale since 2024. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for another major international law firm, in the family-owned company and as an in-house lawyer in the corporate legal department of a DAX-listed multinational company. She studied law at the University of Bonn and Sciences Po Paris and completed her PhD on an antitrust law topic at the University of Munich. During her legal traineeship at the Higher regional Court of Celle she spent stages i.e. with the Bundeskartellamt (FCO) and the Cartel Senate of the Higher Regional Court of Celle.

Dr. Lehnhardt-Busche is a member of the Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht (Association for the Study of Antitrust Law) and the Competition Litigation Forum (C-L-F).
