Danny Perry focuses his practice on complex litigation matters, with a particular emphasis on intellectual property litigation. Mr. Perry has handled all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation, trial and appeal. He has participated in matters before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, including inter partes review proceedings and in unfair investigation proceedings at the International Trade Commission. His practice spans a variety of technical fields, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and microprocessors. 

Prior to rejoining the firm in 2024, Mr. Perry was at Medtronic, where he held several roles, including managing all of Medtronic’s intellectual property litigation matters and overseeing the global intellectual property strategy for an operating unit. He also served as an intellectual property transactions counsel for Hewlett Packard, where he drafted and negotiated a broad range of intellectual property agreements.

Mr. Perry previously was an associate at another firm in Palo Alto, California. At that firm, Mr. Perry assisted patent litigation teams on cases before the US District Courts involving a different types of technologies, including LCD displays, liquid cooling devices, wireless devices and water bottles. He also prepared and prosecuted patent applications in a variety of electrical and computer technologies, including data streaming, signal processing, data management, machine learning and semiconductors

In 2012, Mr. Perry was a judicial extern for the Honorable Paul S. Grewal of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

Before law school, Mr. Perry was a hardware engineer at Teradyne, Inc. He was part of a team that developed automated testing systems for hard drives.

Mr. Perry is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
