Beth E. Bookwalter
Special Counsel
Beth Bookwalter has represented corporations and individuals in a wide range of matters, including securities fraud class actions, derivative actions, false claims actions and enforcement matters. Ms. Bookwalter has also represented clients in actions involving commercial disputes, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, unfair and deceptive consumer practices, allegations of fraud and related claims. Ms. Bookwalter also has extensive experience in electronic discovery.
In 2004, Ms. Bookwalter served as a Special Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Ms. Bookwalter prosecuted a variety of criminal cases and tried numerous cases in bench or jury trials. Prior to prosecuting criminal cases, Ms. Bookwalter served as appointed defense counsel for indigent defendants in Suffolk County, Massachusetts.
For over a decade, Ms. Bookwalter represented an intellectually disabled inmate on death row in Alabama in his post-conviction appeals process and successfully obtained a sentence conversion.
Professional Activities
Ms. Bookwalter taught Legal Writing at Boston University School of Law from 2009–2012.
