Managing Attorney - Regional

Areeb Been Khan is WilmerHale’s Managing Attorney for the Eastern Region and is resident in the New York office. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation/Controversy Department and joined the firm in 2024.

As the Eastern Regional Managing Attorney, Mr. Khan guides the litigation process from commencement to conclusion. He advises the firm’s attorneys on a range of complex procedural and strategic issues arising in all stages of litigation in judicial and non-judicial proceedings, focusing on federal, state, and local rules of procedure. Mr. Khan also oversees the day-to-day operations for the Eastern Region, ensuring court filings, calendaring, and other litigation-related actions are completed in compliance with applicable rules and practices.

Professional Activities

Mr. Khan serves as Director of the Board for the South Asian Legal Defense Fund and is a member of LaGuardia Community College Legal Education Advisory Board. He is a frequent speaker on law school panels and author of various publications.
