
Apoorva Dixit
Associate
Apoorva Dixit focuses her practice on complex litigation and appellate matters. She also maintains an active pro bono practice, which includes representing survivors of domestic abuse, clients in criminal appeals, and civil rights actions. She recently won a significant victory in Massachusetts District Court, where she successfully argued for an extension of her client’s abuse protection order under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 209A.
During law school, Ms. Dixit was awarded the Dean’s Award for Community Leadership and the Pro Bono Honor Roll for completing over 1000 pro bono hours, serving as part of leadership for Harvard Defenders. She previously worked as a life sciences consultant focused on vaccine development, including COVID-19 vaccine candidates in the lead-up to CDC emergency approval.
Ms. Dixit was a Fulbright Scholar and focused her research on the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy in Bhopal, India. She co-created and co-hosted the podcast They Knew Which Way to Run, focused on the tragedy. She gave a talk on the same subject at TEDxDuke entitled, “What Does it Mean to Survive a Disaster?”. The podcast was nominated for The Podcast Academy Awards, and the TEDx Talk was selected as an Editor’s Pick by TED Conferences.
