Alex Miller represents clients in trial and appellate litigation, with a particular focus on government-facing litigation and investigations. He has significant experience in both state and federal trial courts, including as part of a team that obtained a preliminary injunction against three statutes on behalf of Montana health care providers and as part of a trial team that secured a jury verdict on all claims in a multiyear litigation seeking hundreds of millions of dollars in damages. Mr. Miller represents clients from the onset of litigation through the appellate process, and frequently briefs matters at both the trial and appellate levels.

Mr. Miller also maintains an active pro bono practice focused on voting and reproductive rights litigation.

Mr. Miller was previously a summer associate at WilmerHale. Prior to rejoining the firm, he was a law clerk for the Honorable Elena Kagan of the United States Supreme Court, the Honorable Thomas B. Griffith of the United States Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit, and the Honorable Randolph D. Moss of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Previously, Mr. Miller was a legal intern at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York in the Public Integrity and General Crimes sections. Before obtaining his law degree, Mr. Miller was a Fulbright Scholar in Lüneburg, Germany, and an elementary school teacher in Washington DC.
