WilmerHale Secures EU and US Merger Clearance for Cisco's Acquisition of TANDBERG
WilmerHale represented Cisco before both the Antitrust Division and the European Commission. In Brussels, Partners Sven Völcker and John Ratliff led the work, assisted by Counsel Cormac O'Daly, and Senior Associates Alexander Israel and Roberto Grasso. The team in Washington DC was headed by Partners Jim Lowe and Hartmut Schneider, and included Counsel Ruediger Schuett Associates Stacy Humes-Schulz and Gregory R. Evans, and Staff Attorney Kristin Ellis. Wiersholm and Fenwick & West LLP advised Cisco on the corporate aspects of the transaction.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to demonstrate once again our capabilities on significant transatlantic antitrust matters,” commented WilmerHale's Co-Managing Partner William J. Perlstein. “As this case illustrates, the antitrust authorities are working together very closely and our ability to provide coordinated advice and representation on both sides of the Atlantic is a great benefit to our clients.”
