Soft Robotics Inc., a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company that designs and manufactures robotic grippers capable of manipulating a wide variety of items without the help of computer vision, has announced the closing of a $20M fundraising round. The round, led by Hyperplane Venture Capital, will help Soft Robotics push into the retail and logistics markets and expand in the food and beverage sector. Soft Robotics' second round includes new investors, such as Scale Venture Partners and the venture capital arm of Honeywell International Inc., as well as existing investors such as ABB Technology Ventures.
