Four WilmerHale partners have been invited to speak on panels during the 61st ABA Section of Antitrust Law Spring Meeting, which will be held April 10-12 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Washington DC. Each partner will provide experienced insight into the antitrust issues that will be examined during the panel sessions listed below. In addition to Partner Hartmut Schneider serving as co-chair over of this year’s entire ABA Spring Meeting, WilmerHale is proud to have four partners participating on panels. Over the course of this year’s conference, more than 2,700 people will attend the Spring Meeting.
Wednesday, April 10
- Partner Molly Boast (NY), who held senior positions in the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice and the Bureau of Competition of the Federal Trade Commission, will join an illustrious panel of former senior enforcers from 10:45 a.m.–noon to discuss “2013 and Beyond: Antitrust in Obama’s Second Term.”
- Partner Thomas Mueller (DC), Co-Chair of WilmerHale’s Antitrust and Competition Practice, will discuss the rise of private damages actions in Europe on a panel from 10:45 a.m.–noon, titled “Litigation Wave Crosses the ‘Pond’: What are the Ripples?”
- Partner Jamie Gorelick (DC), a former Deputy Attorney General of the United States, will join a panel from 3:15–5:15 p.m. to discuss “The ABA’s 2012 Changes in Ethics Rules.” Ms. Gorelick co-chaired the ABA’s Commission on Ethics 20/20 and will discuss the Commission’s proposed amendments to the ABA Model Rules of Professional Responsibility, which were recently approved by the ABA.
Thursday, April 11
- Partner Hartmut Schneider (DC), who also serves as co-chair of this year’s Spring Meeting, will co-moderate the traditional “Hot Topics” panel discussion from 3:15–5 p.m.
