Fellowship Honors Lloyd Cutler

Fellowship Honors Lloyd Cutler

Attorney News

The American Academy in Berlin has named a Fellowship in honor of Wilmer co-founder Lloyd Cutler. Wilmer announced that it will support the semester long Fellowship, which gives preference to outstanding applicants from the field of law, for the next three years starting next Fall. Mr. Cutler has been a board member of the Academy since 1998.

Hiroshi Motomura, Dan K. Moore Distinguished Professor of Law at the University of North Carolina School of Law, is the first to win this prize. He will examine current trends in German migration and citizenship law. In a congratulatory letter to Professor Motomura, Academy president Robert Mundheim wrote: "As the first Lloyd Cutler Fellow, you will be, I hope, the first in a long line to honor our trustee, one of the most distinguished US practitioners of the second half of the twentieth century."
